MAlverns Trusted Place to get a

Roadworthy

Roadworthy certificates are often required when a vehicle is sold or if a used car is to be re-registered. A roadworthy certificate helps to reduce the number of badly maintained cars on our roads. In some instances, a roadworthy certificate is required to clear a vehicle defect or un-roadworthiness notice.A roadworthy certificate can only be issued by a licensed vehicle tester that is operating from a nominated garage or service outlet. Malvern Automotive Repairs are fully licensed and authorised to provide a roadworthiness certification service from our workshop in Malvern. For us to issue a valid roadworthy certificate, your vehicle must pass a roadworthiness inspection. The inspection is a check of the vehicle to ensure that major components have not worn or deteriorated and that the car is safe for regular road use.A roadworthy inspection only covers the major safety-related components and includes but is not limited to:
Wheels and tyres

1. Steering
2. Suspension and braking systems
3. Seats and seat belts
4. Lamps and reflectors
5. Windscreen and windows, including front windscreen wipers and washers
6. The structure of the vehicle and safety-related items on the body, chassis and engine

The roadworthiness test is not a check of the mechanical reliability or general condition of your vehicle. If you require a comprehensive check on condition and reliability, then Malvern Automotive Repairs can arrange for a separate independent report.
